Owen D. Young

Owen D. Young is currently a Board Member at Herkimer-Fulton-Hamilton-Otsego Boces. Prior to this, they served as Superintendent of Schools at Owen D. Young Central School from November 2012 to June 2014. Owen also served as Director of Human Resources at Herkimer-Fulton-Hamilton-Otsego BOCES from October 2012 to July 2014, and as Director of Secondary Programs from July 2005 to November 2012. Young began their career in education as a Band Director at Chenango Valley Central School from September 1999 to August 2001, and then at Unadilla Valley Central School from September 1993 to August 1999.

Owen D. Young graduated from Oneonta High School and then went on to Syracuse University where they completed their Bachelor of Music in Music Education. After Syracuse University, they attended Morehead State University and earned their Masters of Education in Music Education. Owen also has a CAS in Educational Leadership from State University of New York at Cortland and a Certificate in Superintendent Development Program from State University of New York at Oswego.
