Carlos Gayou

Propulsion Engineer at Hermeus

Carlos Gayou has held various positions in the engineering field since 2016. In 2016 and 2017, they worked as a Student Caller for the Cockrell School of Engineering at The University of Texas at Austin and Ruffalo Noel Levitz respectively. Carlos then worked as a Structures Team Member for Unmanned Aerial Vehicles Austin in 2018. Also in 2018, they were an Undergraduate Research Assistant at the Cockrell School of Engineering. In 2019, they were a Airframe Team Lead and CAD Integration Lead for Texas Rocket Engineering Lab. In 2021, they were a Propulsion Intern for Hermeus and in 2021 they were a GEC Representative to the UT Senate for the UT Senate of College Councils. Currently, they are a Propulsion Engineer for Hermeus and a Graduate Research Assistant at The University of Texas at Austin.

Carlos Gayou completed their Bachelor of Science in Aerospace, Aeronautical and Astronautical Engineering from The University of Texas at Austin in 2020. In the same year, they began their Master of Science in Aerospace, Aeronautical and Astronautical Engineering at The University of Texas at Austin, which they are currently pursuing.
