Propulsion Engineer at Hermeus

James Cipolletti has a diverse work experience in engineering and design roles. James currently works as a Propulsion Engineer at Hermeus since 2023. Prior to that, they served as the Structures Lead at Yellow Jacket Space Program from 2020 to 2023. In 2022, they worked as a Components Intern at ABL Space Systems. James also had an internship at Hermeus in 2021, where they contributed to the development of ground test hardware and optimized nozzle assembly for a turbo-ramjet engine. James gained experience as a Mechanical Engineering Intern at NASA in 2021, simulating shock environments and designing parametrized shock response systems. In 2020, they worked as a Mechanical Engineering Intern at Area-I, contributing to the design and testing of a 3D printed payload. Prior to that, they were an Engineering Intern at Beeken Biomedical, where they helped revamp quality procedures and developed a vacuum table for a bandage product. James also has experience as a Sailing Instructor at Plymouth Yacht Club in 2018 and as a Design Intern at OMNIlife science, inc. in 2017, where they designed tools for knee replacement surgery.

James Cipolletti completed their high school education at Duxbury Public Schools from 2014 to 2018, earning a High School Diploma. Following their high school graduation, they enrolled at the Georgia Institute of Technology in 2018. James is currently pursuing a degree in Mechanical Engineering, specializing in Aerospace, Aeronautical, and Astronautical Engineering. Their expected completion year is set for 2023.
