Jeffrey Dorey

Jeffrey Dorey is a Principal Propulsion Engineer at Hermeus, starting in October 2023, following a role as Staff Propulsion Development Engineer at Astra from January 2022 to October 2023, where responsibilities included being the subject matter expert on turbomachinery and leading the design of the Rocket 4 First Stage Engine's turbopump. Previous experience includes positions at Blue Origin as a Turbomachinery Design and Development Engineer, responsible for the oxygen turbopump for the BE-7 engine, and various mechanical engineering roles focusing on design and analysis for New Glenn and New Shepard propulsion systems. Jeffrey has held engineering positions at Systima Technologies, Fatigue Technology, Helac Corporation, and has contributed to research at Loyola Marymount University, where a Master's and Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering were earned.
