Upali Basu is an experienced data science and analytics professional with a diverse background in various industries. Currently serving as Lead - Customer Data Science & Digital Analytics at Hero MotoCorp since September 2022, Upali focuses on next-generation mobility solutions. Prior to this role, Upali was the Practice Head - Analytics at IndiGo, managing digital and customer analytics to enhance user experiences. Previous positions include Project Leader and Lead Data Scientist at KiE Square Analytics, Data Science Consultant at the Customs & Central Excise Department of India, and Data Scientist roles at Mettl and PepperTap. Upali began the professional journey as an Associate Data Scientist at LinkedIn and a Web and Product Analyst at SlideShare, where essential metrics were analyzed for product improvement. An academic foundation includes a First Year PhD in Economics from the University at Buffalo and multiple degrees in Economics from Jadavpur University.
