Saptarshi Desai

Saptarshi Desai has over three decades of experience in the construction industry, currently serving as an Executive at Herrero Builders since May 2013, where responsibilities include overseeing a $550 million replacement hospital project in San Francisco using an Integrated Form Of Agreement (IFOA) with an Integrated Project Delivery (IPD) team approach. Previously, Saptarshi worked as a Senior Project Manager at Turner Construction, managing projects totaling over $630 million, including significant hospital and community center replacements. Earlier experience includes roles as a Project Manager at Don Tood Associates, where oversight included projects at Lawrence Berkeley National Laboratory, and as a Purchasing Manager at Amcal Diversified Corp. Saptarshi began a career as an Estimator at Kuhn Smith and Harris. Educational qualifications include a Master of Science in Civil Engineering from the New Jersey Institute of Technology and a Bachelor of Science in Prestressed Concrete from L.D. College of Engineering.
