John Lyon

John Lyon has extensive work experience in the hospitality industry, spanning over 19 years. John currently serves as the Area General Manager for HHM Hotels, overseeing five Walt Disney World Good Neighbor Hotels. These hotels include Marriott-branded properties such as Springhill Suites, Towneplace Suites, Aloft, Residence Inn, and the Holiday Inn Express. In this role, John manages 826 guest rooms and a 25k sq ft event space. Prior to this, they briefly served as a General Manager at HHM Hotels.

Before joining HHM Hotels, John worked at Aimbridge Hospitality as a General Manager of a select service hotel in Disney World. During their tenure, the hotel received numerous awards from Marriott and Hilton.

John also has experience as a General Manager at TMI Hospitality and Senior Operations Manager of F&B at a full-service Marriott International Beach Hotel in Ventura, CA. In the F&B role, John achieved the #1 global rank in 2012 and served as a Marriott Southern California WIG Coach.

Earlier in their career, John held managerial positions at Residence Inn, JW Marriott Las Vegas Resort & Spa, and Red Rock Country Club. These positions included responsibilities such as Food and Beverage Manager and Banquet Server.

John Lyon attended Faith Lutheran Middle School & High School from 1997 to 1999 and obtained a Diploma of Education. John then went on to study Business, Management, Marketing, and Related Support Services at the College of Southern Nevada starting from 1999, with no specified end year or degree obtained at this point.
