Kendra Gaffey

Kendra Gaffey has a strong background in the hospitality industry, with a focus on hotel management and sales. Kendra began their career in 2010 at Hyatt Place Dublin/Pleasanton, where they held the dual role of Assistant General Manager and Director of Sales. In this position, they managed hotel staff, maintained high customer service standards, and organized staff meetings and trainings. Kendra also handled sales responsibilities, including sustaining business relationships, managing the sales department, negotiating national business accounts, and coordinating with the corporate office. Kendra held this role until 2017.

In 2017, Kendra joined Hersha Hospitality Management as an Assistant General Manager at Hyatt House Pleasanton. Kendra excelled in this role for three years, ensuring customer satisfaction and resolving guest problems. In 2020, they were promoted to General Manager, overseeing the operations of the hotel. Kendra's exceptional performance led their to be appointed as the Senior Accounting Manager in October 2021, showcasing their versatility and commitment to professional development.

Kendra's expertise and reputation in the industry attracted GF Hotels & Resorts, where they joined as the General Manager at Hyatt House Pleasanton in September 2021. Unfortunately, their tenure lasted only one month before moving on to pursue other opportunities in the industry.

Outside of their work at hotels, Kendra served as a Board Member for Visit Tri-Valley from 2015 to 2017, demonstrating their involvement and dedication to the local community and tourism.

Kendra Gaffey's education history began in 2000 when they attended Foothill High School and earned a High School diploma in 2004. Following that, from 2004 to 2007, they pursued Culinary Arts and Related Services at Diablo Valley College. Kendra then enrolled at California State University - East Bay in 2007 and completed their Bachelor's degree in Marketing and Corporate Management in 2010. Most recently, in 2019-2020, Kendra attended AHLEI - American Hotel & Lodging Educational Institute where they obtained their CHS - Certified Hospitality Supervisor qualification, specializing in the field of Hospitality.
