Chief Constable at Hertfordshire Constabulary

Charlie Hall QPM is Chief Constable for Hertfordshire Constabulary and was appointed to the role in October 2016. Nationally, Charlie leads for the National Police Chiefs’ Council on Automated Number Plate Recognition (ANPR), Civil Contingencies, and also on the policing of industrial disputes. He is also the senior responsible officer for the JESIP program which aims to improve interoperability across the police, fire, and ambulance services.

Charlie previously served with Norfolk Constabulary and is married with a young son and two daughters at University. In December 2017, Charlie was awarded the Queen's Policing Medal in the Queen's New Year's Honours List.
