Sarah McLaughlin

Sarah McLaughlin is an experienced planning professional with a strong background in infrastructure and spatial planning. Currently serving as the Head of Growth & Infrastructure Unit at Hertfordshire County Council since October 2014, Sarah manages a team focused on infrastructure planning and oversees S106 and Community Infrastructure Levy officers. Previous roles include Principal Spatial Planner at West Northamptonshire Joint Planning Unit, where contributions were made to the Joint Core Strategy and the joint Infrastructure Delivery Plan, and Senior Planning Officer at Stevenage Borough Council, leading various planning initiatives. Earlier career experience includes project management at Virgin Media, where site investigations for telecommunications were conducted. Sarah holds an Executive MBA from the University of Hertfordshire, a Master of Arts in Town Planning from London South Bank University, and a BA (Hons) in Planning Studies from Oxford Brookes University.
