Jord Schaap

Jord Schaap is an experienced educator and communication professional currently serving as Rector/Headmaster at Het Schoter since January 2024. Previously, Schaap held various positions at Amsterdam University of Applied Sciences from January 2010 to January 2024, including Head of Department for the Communication and Creative Business Programmes, overseeing a large team and significant student body, and Manager for the Propaedeutic Year. Additionally, Schaap has a background in political communications, having worked as Communications Coordinator for the Dutch Labour Party in the European Parliament and as a freelance writer and editor. Educational qualifications include multiple degrees from the University of Groningen and an Erasmus Scholarship from the University of Reading, focusing on communication, Euroculture, and literature.
