Caroline Atherton has a strong background in human resources, with significant experience in various leadership positions. Caroline began their career at Compaq Computer Corporation in 1994, where they served as the Manager of U.S. Benefits, responsible for designing and administering benefits programs for 35,000 employees. Caroline later became the Director of HR Information Services, overseeing the transformation of the HR function into a paperless environment. In 1999, they were promoted to Vice President of Compensation, Benefits, and HR Information Services, managing programs for over 150,000 employees worldwide.
In 2008, Atherton joined HP as the Senior HR M&A Consultant, advising on HR strategies and operations during mergers and acquisitions. Caroline then became the Vice President of Human Resources for the Americas Region, leading a team of over 400 HR professionals in delivering customer-centric HR programs. Caroline also held the role of Director of HR Compliance & Policy before being promoted to Vice President of Human Resources for HP.
Atherton continued their career at Hewlett Packard Enterprise (HPE) in 2014, where they held various high-level positions. Caroline served as the Vice President of Global Talent Acquisition, leading a team of over 700 professionals in attracting and recruiting top talent. Caroline then became the Vice President of Talent Management, followed by Vice President of Talent Enablement, overseeing talent development and enablement initiatives.
Most recently, Atherton held the position of Vice President of Workforce Planning, People Analytics, Culture, Employee Experience, and Engagement at HPE. In this role, they drove strategies and solutions for workforce planning, employee experience, and engagement, resulting in significant business outcomes. Caroline then became the Chief Talent Officer and, eventually, the Senior Vice President of Human Resources, responsible for leading a global team of HR business partners and driving the people strategy for HPE.

Caroline has worked in diverse industries, leading HR programs on a global scale and contributing to the success of the organizations they have worked for.
