Jim Hennessy has extensive experience in education and community services, having served in multiple leadership roles within the Hewlett-Woodmere UFSD since 1998, including Executive Director of Community Education, Adult Education, and Recreation Services, as well as positions such as Lead Teacher at Hewlett Alternative High School and Dean of Students at GW Hewlett High School. In addition to an extensive teaching background as a High School Social Studies and Special Education Teacher, Jim has held significant roles in municipal government, including President of the Long Beach City Council and Congressional Aide. Jim Hennessy holds a Master of Education in Educational Leadership and Administration, a Master's Degree in Special Education and Teaching, and a Bachelor's degree in History and Education. Certifications include NY State Certified 7-12 Social Studies, K-12 Special Education, School Administrator Supervisor (SAS), School District Leader (SDL), and School Building Leader (SBL).
