Morgan Krey

Morgan Krey is the current Head of Business Operations & Analytics at Hex. Prior to this, they were the Head of Business Operations and Strategy at Amplitude from October 2020 to January 2022. There, they were responsible for building novel datasets and implementing a "modern data" stack. Morgan was also a member of the five-person IPO filing and readiness team, where they were specifically responsible for due diligence, customer consents, non-financial metrics, trading exchange selection, and leading public company readiness workstreams.

Before their time at Amplitude, Morgan was the Senior Manager of Analytics at Dropbox from October 2017 to October 2020. During their time there, they were responsible for developing product metrics models for Dropbox's business segments and driving business/engagement impact in collaboration with Product, Engineering, Design, Marketing, and Research teams. Morgan also leveraged data and analytics to proactively identify opportunity areas and shape product roadmaps. In addition, Morgan coordinated all quantitative inputs from consumer and mobile teams for company-wide annual planning. Morgan also managed a multi-location team of five direct reports who were responsible for all analytics for Dropbox's mobile app, consumer revenue, and sync platform. Morgan designed a complex solution for coordinating the simultaneous launch of 20+ features across Product, Engineering, and Marketing teams. Morgan also launched revenue-generating (Passwords, Vault, computer backup) and engagement-driving (automatic Smart Sync, File Locking) features during their time at Dropbox.

Morgan Krey received a Bachelor of Science (B.S.) Magna Cum Laude in Biomedical/Medical Engineering and Computer Science from Duke University. Morgan then went on to study Physics at the Massachusetts Institute of Technology before attending The Thacher School.

Morgan Krey reports to Barry McCardel, Co-Founder & CEO. They are on a team with Glen Takahashi - Co-Founder & Chief Architect, Nisha Dwivedi - Head of Customer, and Andrew McNealy - Head of Sales.
