Head of Sustainability at Hexagon

Eva Carranza has a diverse and extensive work experience history. Eva is currently the Head of ESG & Sustainability at Hexagon AB, starting in March 2023. Prior to this role, they worked at Hexagon Geosystems as the Global ESG Director from November 2021, where they were involved in sustainability and decarbonization strategy definition, integration of ESG criteria across operational functions, and engagement with internal and external stakeholders to drive sustainability change.

Before joining Hexagon Geosystems, Eva worked at Holcim from 2015 to 2021. During their time there, they held multiple roles, including Head of Circular Economy and Corporate Strategy Manager. In these positions, they were responsible for defining and executing circular economy and CO2 climate strategies, supporting country operations, building strategic partnerships, and managing business portfolio and M&A initiatives. Eva also supported communication and investor relations with relevant ESG indices disclosures.

Prior to Holcim, Eva worked at BASF as an Energy/CO2 Climate Engineer and at Kellogg Company as a Production Engineer for the Quality department. Eva also gained experience through an internship at Alimentos Polar in Packaging Development.

Throughout their career, Eva has consistently shown a strong commitment to ESG and sustainability, and has contributed significantly to developing and implementing strategies, establishing partnerships, and driving change towards sustainability goals.

Eva Carranza's education history begins in 2000 when they attended Universidad Simón Bolívar and obtained a Higher University Diploma in Chemical Engineering. From 2006 to 2008, they pursued a Master of Science (MSc) degree in Environmental Management (W.A.S.T.E. program) at the University of Stuttgart. In 2011, Eva enrolled in two different institutions simultaneously. Eva completed a Master of Business Administration (MBA) degree in Business Administration and Management, General at the University of St.Gallen, where they studied from 2011 to 2013. Additionally, in 2011, they attended Esade and acquired an MBA degree in the Program for Leadership Development, which lasted until 2012. Finally, in 2017, Eva joined IMD to participate in the Senior Leadership Development Program - LAUNCH, focusing on Leadership Development. Their time at IMD concluded in 2018.
