Rhea Kamath

Research Associate, Synthetic Biology at Hexagon Bio

Rhea Kamath has a diverse work experience beginning in 2017 with a role as Exhibit Specialist at the Children's Discovery Museum of San Jose. In 2018, they were a Student Job Shadow at the University of California, San Francisco. In 2020, they were a STEM Tutor at De Anza College, an Academic Coach and Intern at Pajaro Valley High School, and a Medical Tester at edgeDx. In 2021, they were a Bernick Lab Undergraduate Researcher at Baskin Engineering at UCSC, a Reader for STAT 05 and STAT 131 at UCSC, a Research Assistant at UCSC, a iGEM 2021 Team Member for PROGENIE, and is currently a Research Associate in Synthetic Biology at Hexagon Bio.

Rhea Kamath is currently pursuing a Bachelor of Science in Biomolecular Engineering and Bioinformatics at Baskin Engineering at UCSC. Rhea also holds a minor in Technology and Information Management. Prior to this, Rhea obtained their High School Diploma from Lynbrook High School in 2019. Rhea also holds two certifications from the American Red Cross, Adult and Pediatric First Aid/CPR/AED, which they obtained in 2021 and 2019 respectively.
