Tereza Paronyan

Chief Scientific Officer, Co-founder at HeXalayer

Tereza Paronyan has over 30 years of work experience in the scientific field. Tereza began their career in 1988 as a Research Scientist at the Institute for Physical Research of Armenian Academy of Sciences. In 2004, they took on the role of Visiting Scientist at the Atomic Institute of Vienna. In 2006, they became a Postdoctoral Researcher at the National Chiao Tung University, where they studied the synthesis of TiO2 nanoparticles and fabricated Dye sensitized solar cells devices. From 2008 to 2010, they were a Senior Scientist at Honda Research Institute USA, Inc., where they synthesized and studied Graphene Oxide and Graphene sheets. From 2013 to 2017, they were a Staff Scientist at the University of Louisville, where they studied Lithium intercalation into graphene anodes of Lithium-ion batteries. In 2017, they became an Adjunct Professor at Western Kentucky University and Northern Kentucky University. Lastly, in 2018, they became a Chief Scientific Officer and Co-founder at HeXalayer and an Adjunct Professor at Bellarmine University.

Tereza Paronyan obtained their Master and PhD in Physics and Chemistry from Yerevan State University and Armenian Academy of Sciences between 1983 and 1988. Tereza also obtained their Master of Science (MS) in Chemistry from Yerevan State University during the same time period.
