Adrienne Downey

Principal Engineer and Country Manager US and Canada at Hexicon AB

Adrienne Downey has a diverse work experience, beginning in 2007 with a role as Production Engineer at RBO Rotorblattoberfläche GmbH (ENERCON Group of Companies). In 2009, they moved to ENERCON Canada Inc. as Local Content Coordinator, where they developed strategic supply chain and operations activities to support ENERCON Canada projects, invested in and started up the first concrete tower manufacturing facility in North America, and interfaced with regulatory partners. In 2011, they were promoted to Operations and Business Development Manager at ENERCON. In 2014, they became Executive Director of Business Development at ENERCON Canada Inc. In 2017, they moved to ADaptation as Principal. In 2018, they joined NYSERDA as Principal Engineer of Offshore Wind. In 2022, they became Principal Engineer and Country Manager US and Canada at Hexicon, as well as a Member of the Board of Directors at National Offshore Wind Research & Development Consortium and a Board Member at Offshore Wind California, and an Advisory Board Member at Marine Renewables Canada.

Adrienne Downey holds a Bachelor of Engineering (B.Eng.) in Chemical Engineering from McGill University. Adrienne went on to obtain a Master's Degree in Urban Design - Sustainable Environmental Systems from Pratt Institute in 2016-2017. Adrienne also holds a Master of Science (MS) in Sustainable Environmental Systems from Pratt Institute.
