Brian Alexander Black

Brian Alexander Black, D.M. has extensive experience in diversity, equity, and inclusion roles. Brian Alexander currently holds the position of Global Director, Diversity, Equity and Inclusion at Hexion Inc. In this role, they partner closely with senior leaders and community partners to implement DEI strategies aligned with the company's values. Prior to their current role, they were the Director of Diversity and Inclusion at Thermo Fisher Scientific, providing guidance to executive teams in diversity-related activities. Before that, they held multiple leadership positions at Spirit AeroSystems, including Director of Global Cultural Transformation and Senior Site Leader for various HR functions. Brian Alexander also served as the President and CEO of The Urban League of Kansas, where they developed strategies to address social justice and equity issues. Brian Alexander has a strong track record of implementing DEI initiatives and building a diverse and inclusive work environment.

Brian Alexander Black, D.M. holds a Doctorate of Management - D.M. in Organizational Leadership from the University of Phoenix, which they earned between 2010 and 2018. Prior to that, they obtained a Master of Arts in Teaching (M.A.T.) in Business Education from the University of South Carolina in 1993. Their undergraduate degree is a Bachelor of Science in Management, also from the University of South Carolina, which they completed between 1989 and 1993. In terms of additional certifications, they are a National Diversity Council Certified Diversity Professional (NDCCDP) and a Certified Facilitator from Hogan Assessments, obtained in 2023 and 2017 respectively.
