Director Hardware at Hexoskin (Carré Technologies)

Marc Castanet has over 10 years of experience in the engineering field. From 2009 to 2012, they were an intern at NanoRobotique, where they integrated a multidisciplinary team researching on the possible application of nanomaterials in the medical field. Marc contributed by developing and perfecting tools to support researchers. From 2009 to 2012, they were also a part of Projet Esteban, Voiture Solaire, where they were the Electrical Director. Theirmain technical achievements were the successful integration of MPPTs and modules dedicated to optimize power provided by the solar arrays. From 2012 to 2013, they worked at Thought Technology Ltd as a Project Manager and HW & Firmware Designer. Marc was responsible for leading a multidisciplinary team to design and put into production Thought Technology’s new generation of medical devices. Marc was also responsible for planning and monitoring all phases of projects and proposing corrective actions to ensure timely delivery. From 2013 to 2016, they worked at Hexoskin as a Director Hardware, Team Lead - Medical, Regulatory Affairs (Interim), and Firmware Designer. As Team Lead - Medical, they led a multidisciplinary team through R&D, certification and production of the company's first medical product. As a Firmware Designer, they developed hardware and firmware for Astroskin, a bio-monitoring system used in the International Space Station.

Marc Castanet obtained a Bachelor of Engineering (B.Eng.) in Electrical and Electronics Engineering from Polytechnique Montréal in 2013. Marc had previously studied in the Cheminement en technologie program at École de technologie supérieure from 2007 to 2009. In 2017, they obtained a Project Management Professional (PMP) certification from the Project Management Institute.
