Parveen Downer

Parveen Downer has a diverse work experience spanning different industries and roles. They began their career as an Orientation Team Leader at Simon Fraser University from 2009 to 2012. They then worked as a Research Assistant at Durham University's Parent-Infant Sleep Lab from 2012 to 2013.

Parveen later joined University College London Hospitals NHS Foundation Trust, where they served as a Project Officer from 2014 to 2015. They then took on the role of Staff College Operations Manager from January to May 2015.

In 2016, Parveen moved on to Harley Academy and held two positions. As a Product Manager from 2018 to 2020, they successfully built a digital learning platform for international users and managed the development of a new platform for a client that was launched in over 40 countries. Parveen also served as the Head of Operations from 2016 to 2018, where they played a key role in building a new vocational qualification, establishing strategic partnerships, and maintaining high customer satisfaction ratings.

Parveen then took a business analyst role at Touch Surgery in 2018, where they developed a marketing acquisition regression tool using Python.

Their most recent position was at IDP Connect, where they worked as a Senior Product Manager from 2020 to February 2022. In this role, Parveen showcased their expertise in product management.

Currently, Parveen is employed as a Senior Product Manager at Semble, starting from February 2022.

Parveen Downer has a diverse educational background. In 2007, they obtained a High School Diploma with Honors from a secondary school. Parveen then pursued a Bachelor of Science (BSc) degree in Health Science from Simon Fraser University, completing their studies in 2012. Following that, Parveen attended Durham University from 2012 to 2013, where they earned a Master of Science (MSc) degree in Evolutionary Medicine.

In addition to their formal education, Parveen has also acquired several certifications. In 2015, they obtained the Association of Project Management - Fundamentals Certificate from the Association for Project Management. In 2021, they completed a certification in Unconscious Bias from LinkedIn. Most recently, in 2022, Parveen obtained a certification in Psychology of E-Commerce: How to Sell Online from The Interaction Design Foundation.
