Shakira Damji has a diverse work experience spanning various roles and industries. Shakira is currently working as a Senior Product Designer at Semble, where they collaborate with agile teams to deliver new features and design the accessible UI component library. Prior to this, they were a Senior Product Designer at Citizens Advice, where they focused on improving the design, usability, and accessibility of the case management system. Shakira also worked as a Product Designer at Citizens Advice, contributing to the migration and build of their public website and Adviser site.

Earlier in their career, Shakira was a Lead UX Designer at Shed Collective Ltd., where they worked on projects for clients such as the NHS and Three, helping them develop their ideas through creative workshops and codesign. Shakira also gained experience as a UX Designer at Golin Digital, working on various projects and leading the UX for the St Martin in the Fields website redesign. In addition, they worked as a Website Designer at Skills on Toast and as a UX Intern at Redwing Interactive.

Shakira then furthered their education at the University of the West of England from 2011 to 2015, where they obtained a Bachelor's degree in Digital Communication and Media/Multimedia.
