Aziz Gaffar

Aziz Gaffar is a highly experienced chemist with a strong background in research and development. Currently serving as the Lead R&D Chemist at HF Sinclair since January 2024, Aziz previously held the position of Senior R&D Chemist at Hollyfrontier Lubricants & Specialties from January 2021 to February 2024. Earlier, Aziz worked as a Senior Product Developer at Sonneborn Refined Products B.V. from July 2017 until January 2021. Aziz's career began at Air Products, where a Principal Technician role was held from April 2001 to January 2017, followed by a position as Principal Technician at Evonik for part of 2017. Aziz's educational background includes a Master’s degree in Organic Chemistry from Vrije Universiteit Amsterdam and a Bachelor's degree in Organic Chemistry from Amsterdam University of Applied Sciences.
