Aysegul Gogus

Aysegul Gogus, is an Associate Vice President at the Washington, D.C. office and part of the Structural Engineering team. She works with engineering teams and business development firmwide to expand the office’s in-house seismic services, further building HGA’s engineering reputation as a national seismic design leader. Gogus has more than 10 years of structural engineering experience specializing in seismic assessment and retrofit of existing buildings, seismic design of reinforced concrete and steel structures, and performance-based seismic design. She has contributed to industry knowledge through academic research, speaking engagements, and national committee work on seismic topics.

Gogus has a PhD and Master of Science in Structural and Earthquake Engineering from the University of California, Los Angeles, and a Bachelor of Science in Civil Engineering from Middle East Technical University, Ankara, Turkey.
