Leo Helderman Pe

Leo Helderman, PE has worked as a Structural Engineer at Hardesty & Hanover, LLC since June 2016. Prior to that, they were a Graduate Research Assistant at the University of Maine from June 2014 to May 2016. Leo also worked as an Undergraduate Research Assistant at the University of Maine from September 2011 to October 2013.

Leo Helderman, PE obtained a Master of Science (MS) degree in Civil Engineering from the University of Maine, which they pursued from 2014 to 2016. Prior to that, they earned a Bachelor of Science (BS) degree in Civil and Environmental Engineering from the same institution, completing it in the period of 2010 to 2014.

In terms of additional certifications, Leo became a Professional Engineer (PE) certified by the Maine Board of Licensure for Professional Engineers in December 2019. Leo also obtained certification as an NBIS Fracture Critical Bridge Inspector from the FHWA National Highway Institute in August 2022 and as an NBIS Certified Bridge Inspector from the same institution in October 2019. Furthermore, Leo is a Rope Access Technician Level 1 certified by the Society of Professional Rope Access Technicians (SPRAT), having achieved this certification in September 2021.
