Jean Buys

Jean Buys has a diverse work experience in development and fundraising roles. Currently, they serve as the Chief Development Officer at HHM Health, where they create fundraising and marketing plans, cultivates donors, and oversees various promotional efforts. In 2020, they briefly worked as the Vice President of Development and Membership at The Dallas Arboretum & Botanic Garden. Prior to that, they spent several years at the Retina Foundation of the Southwest as the Executive Director and Development Director, where they managed staff, organized fundraising events, developed planned giving programs, and led strategic planning efforts. From 1995 to 2005, Jean worked at the American Foundation for the Blind as a Development Director, playing a key role in securing major gifts and organizing fundraising events.
