Dave Wingert has over 17 years of experience in software engineering and leadership roles. Dave began their career as an Engineering Intern at Maxtor and Seagate Technology, where they developed applications and scripts to improve efficiency and functionality. Dave then joined Seagate Technology as a Firmware Engineer, supporting customer-specific firmware development.
Afterwards, Dave worked at SMART Modular Technologies as a Software Development Engineer, implementing data models and databases for drive testing. Dave continued to expand their skills at SMART Storage Systems as a Senior Software Development Engineer, focusing on enhancing data reporting applications and improving performance.
In 2015, Dave joined SanDisk® as a Staff Software Development Engineer, where they played a key role in expanding data ingestion and rearchitecting dashboards for new data sources. Later, they joined Western Digital as an Engineering Manager and then as a Principal Software Development Engineer and Team Lead, leading teams and developing data reporting infrastructures.
Currently, Dave serves as the VP of Engineering at Hi Marley, responsible for leading the engineering organization, overseeing product designs, aligning backlogs, coaching and mentoring team members, and ensuring overall productivity.
From 2004 to 2008, Dave Wingert attended the University of Michigan, where they obtained a BSE in Electrical Engineering.
