Sherman Lam

Sherman Lam has a diverse work experience in various industries and roles. Sherman started their career in 2002 as the Founder and Managing Director of Cirrus Ventures Group, where they focused on principal investments in private equity and venture capital transactions across different sectors. In 2007, Sherman co-founded and became a Director of Herbitec (M) Sdn Bhd, a bioscience company specializing in herbal preparations derived from botanical extracts. Sherman played a key role in the company's growth and success, including obtaining a patent for their anti-viral composition.

Throughout their career, Sherman has also held positions in several companies as an Independent Non-Executive Director. These include Asian Pac Holdings Berhad, Hiap Teck Venture Berhad, and Gadang Holdings Berhad, where they contributed their expertise and insights to support the companies' strategic decisions.

Sherman has been actively involved in the energy and engineering sectors as well. Sherman served as a Director of Athena Energy Holdings and Bintai Kindenko Private Limited, both subsidiaries of listed companies, and as an Independent Non-Executive Director of Bintai Kinden Corporation Berhad, a leading mechanical and electrical engineering entity with a strong presence in Southeast Asia, the Middle East, and Greater China.

In addition, Sherman has experience as a Director of Lereno Sdn Bhd, a pioneer in the biodiesel blending and refinery industry in Malaysia. Sherman played a significant role in advancing Malaysia's Biofuel Policy.

Currently, Sherman holds the position of Managing Partner at Sherman Lam & Co | Chartered Accountants, where they leverage their extensive experience and expertise in financial services.

Sherman Lam has a diverse education history. Sherman began their education at Anglo-Chinese School, Ipoh where they completed their secondary education with a SPM degree in 1990. In 1991 and 1992, they pursued a Diploma in Business Studies at The Institute of Commercial Management (U.K.). Moving forward, Sherman went on to obtain a Chartered Management Accountant (U.K.) degree in Accounting from CIMA between 1993 and 1995. Additionally, they obtained a Financial Markets Association Certificate from the Institute of Bankers, Malaysia in 1996 and 1997. Later, in 1999 to 2000, Sherman earned a Master of Business Administration (MBA) degree with a specialization in Finance from Charles Sturt University.
