Raphael Marcus

Senior Vice President, Programs at HIAS

Raphael Marcus is the Senior Vice President, Programs at HIAS. Previously, they were the Program Manager at FRTP - Fund for Reconciliation, Tolerance and Peace from June 2011 to September 2011. Before that, they were a Logistics Officer and Coordinator at IsraAid/Tevel B'Tzedek Aid Delegation to Haiti from March 2010 to June 2010. Prior to that, they were an English Teacher at Orient Institute from January 2007 to January 2010.

Raphael Marcus has a M.A in Public Health and Disaster Management from Tel Aviv University as well as a B.A in Geography and Sociology & Anthropology from Hebrew University of Jerusalem. Raphael is also certified by Magen David Adom in Israel (IFRC equivalent) as a Certified Emergency Medicine Technician and Ambulance Driver, and by REDR UK in Security Management.

They work with Brian Kerr - Senior Director, Safety and Security, Alicia Wrenn - Senior Director, Resettlement and Integration, and Melonee Douglas - VP, Humanitarian Partnership, Policy & Practice. Raphael Marcus reports to Mark Hetfield, President and CEO.
