Janet Derr-Littman

Janet Derr-Littman currently serves as the Special Populations Coordinator at Hickory City Schools, a position held since August 2021. Previously, from August 2001 to June 2016, Janet was a Career Technical Education Teacher for grades 6-12 at Hickory Public Schools, where instruction focused on equipping students with essential computer and technology skills. Janet's earlier experience includes a lengthy tenure at the City of Hickory's Parks and Recreation Department, where from July 1986 to August 2001, progressive roles such as Supervisor and Recreation Programmer contributed to expertise in marketing, finance, and management. Educational qualifications include a Bachelor of Science in Parks, Recreation, and Tourism from North Carolina State University and a Master of Business Administration from Lenoir-Rhyne University.
