Utkarsh Patel

Utkarsh Patel is an Associate Scientist in Single Cell Science at HiFiBiO Therapeutics as of October 2023. Prior experience includes a role as a Co-op in Single Cell Analysis for Off-Target Biology at Prime Medicine, Inc., where responsibilities included genome editing using CRISPR and prime editing, designing deletion experiments, and troubleshooting single cell sorting methods. An Investigative Toxicology Intern at Takeda contributed to evaluating neurotoxicity of chemotherapeutic compounds, while earlier research at Shiv Nadar University focused on the effects of anti-hepatic drugs on Hepatitis E virus replication. Additional summer training at Jawaharlal Nehru University involved molecular characterization of a putative RhoGEF from Entamoeba histolytica. Utkarsh received a Master of Science in Biotechnology from Northeastern University and holds a Bachelor's degree in Biotechnology from Shiv Nadar University.
