Ziad Gellad, MD MPH

Co-Founder & Chief Medical Officer at Higgs Boson

Ziad Gellad, MD MPH has a diverse work experience starting in 2009. Ziad began working at Duke University Medical Center as an Associate Professor of Medicine and later became the Associate Vice Chair for Ambulatory Services in the Department of Medicine. During their time at Duke, they also served as the Director of Quality in the Division of Gastroenterology and as the Director of Clinical Improvement in the Department of Medicine. In 2017, they co-founded Higgs Boson Health and currently holds the position of Co-Founder & Chief Medical Officer. Dr. Gellad has also worked as a Staff Physician in Gastroenterology at the Department of Veterans Affairs. Additionally, they served as the Chair of the Quality Measures Committee at the American Gastroenterological Association from 2014 to 2017.

Ziad Gellad, MD MPH, attended Haverford College where they obtained a Bachelor of Arts (BA) degree. Ziad then pursued their medical education at The Johns Hopkins University School of Medicine, earning a Doctor of Medicine (MD) degree. Additionally, they expanded their education by completing a Master of Public Health (MPH) degree at Johns Hopkins Bloomberg School of Public Health.
