Sarah Taylor has a diverse work experience spanning over a decade. Sarah currently holds the position of director in the Office of the Vice President Medicine, Quality and Research, and Chief Medical Officer at Island Health - Vancouver Island Health Authority since August 2022. Prior to that, they worked at HEABC as a Manager of Strategic Initiatives - Physician Services from October 2017 to July 2022, and as a Project Manager of Physician Services from March 2017 to October 2017. In 2015, they briefly worked as a Deputy Returning Officer at Elections Canada. From 2012 to 2017, they held multiple roles at Doctors of BC including Facility Engagement Lead, Chair of the Service Excellence Committee, Analyst, and Assistant. In these roles, they managed operational structures, facilitated effective engagement processes, developed financial models and policies, and implemented comprehensive tracking systems.
Sarah Taylor is currently an MBA candidate at Royal Roads University, with an expected graduation in 2025. Sarah previously completed courses in Managerial Accounting Fundamentals and Academic Writing & Critical Thinking in 2022 and 2021, respectively. In 2019, they also took a course in Financial Accounting Fundamentals, all at Royal Roads University. Prior to that, they obtained a Professional Project Management certificate in 2015 from UBC Sauder School of Business.
