Nathan Newburn

Nathan Newburn, CPA, serves as the Financial Controller at High Alpha Innovation since July 2021, previously holding the title of Accounting Manager. Prior to this role, Nathan was the Manager of Financial Reporting and Budgeting at Indiana University Health from April 2020 to July 2021. Nathan's earlier experience at Somerset CPAs and Advisors, where positions included Manager, Supervisor, Senior in Assurance Services, and Audit Staff, involved providing assurance and consulting services across real estate, technology, and agricultural sectors. Leadership skills were demonstrated as President of Beta Alpha Psi in 2014, guiding aspiring accountants in volunteer and professional development activities. Additional experience includes a Tax Internship at BKD CPAs & Advisors focusing on business and individual tax returns, and an Audit Internship at Dauby O'Connor & Zaleski, completing compliance audits for HUD and RD regulations. Nathan holds a Bachelor's degree in Accounting and Finance from Ball State University, obtained between 2010 and 2014.
