Anna V. Smith

Anna V. Smith is an accomplished journalist and editor with extensive experience in environmental reporting and editorial roles. Currently serving as an Associate Editor at High Country News since July 2016, Anna has also held positions including Editorial Fellow and Editorial Intern at the same organization. Additional experience includes the role of Ted Scripps Fellow at the Center for Environmental Journalism at the University of Colorado Boulder and a reporter position at Sound Publishing, where Anna covered a variety of topics including community and environmental issues. Anna's internship history encompasses significant roles at Eugene Weekly, Envision Journalism, the Smithsonian Institution, and Ethos Magazine. Anna holds dual Bachelor of Arts degrees in Environmental Studies and Journalism from the University of Oregon.
