Alexander Bea

Alexander Bea has a diverse work experience spanning multiple industries and roles.

Alexander began their career in 2011 as an Online Campaigns Coordinator at 350.org, where they managed web platforms and email programs. Alexander then moved on to EchoDitto in 2012 as a Project Manager, where they oversaw digital technology and strategy projects.

In 2013, Alexander joined Oceana as a Digital Media Manager and later became a Senior Manager of Digital Communications. Alexander played a key role in managing Oceana's Drupal website redesign, implemented fundraising and online advocacy programs, and led a team of three.

Alexander also worked at Singlebrook Technology, Inc. as a Front-end Developer and Drupal Themer, where they led front-end development efforts and managed client coordination. Alexander later joined ORIGIN EIGHT as a Web Developer, specializing in Drupal theming and site building.

In 2016, they worked at UpTrending as a Web Developer, focusing on WordPress and Laravel theming. Alexander then joined P'unk Avenue as a Front-end and Node.js Developer, where they were eventually promoted to Lead Support Developer, leading a team in assisting clients and building ApostropheCMS.

From 2019 to 2022, Alexander worked at Apostrophe Technologies, Inc. as a Developer Relations Engineer and later as a Senior Software Engineer. In these roles, they contributed to the development of Apostrophe features, provided support to the open-source community, and empowered enterprise clients with feature development.

Most recently, in 2022, Alexander joined High Definition Vehicle Insurance as a Senior User Interface Developer. Alexander successfully converted the front-end build tool from Vue CLI to Vite and completed a code base-wide theming refactor, improving maintainability.

Alexander Bea attended Marist College from 2001 to 2005, where they obtained a Bachelor of Arts degree in Communication. In 2007, they enrolled at Virginia Tech and completed a Masters of Arts degree in Communication in 2009. In 2015, Alexander attended Bloc, a web development bootcamp, focusing on Front End Development.
