Joe Jones

Joe Jones has a diverse work experience in the insurance industry. Joe is currently serving as the Director of Fleet Underwriting at High Definition Vehicle Insurance (HDVI) since April 2022. Prior to this, they held the role of Executive Underwriter - Transportation at AmTrust Financial Services, Inc. from December 2021 to April 2022, and Senior Transportation Underwriter from November 2009 to December 2021.

Before joining AmTrust Financial Services, Joe worked at Bank of America as AVP - Program Underwriting Manager, where they managed four specialty, commercial lines programs. The programs were based on a managing general agency (MGA) model and had a combined written premium of $160 million in 2008.

Earlier in their career, Joe served as a Commercial Lines Underwriter at The Hartford, where they were responsible for the underwriting of renewal policies in designated territories, including Alabama, Georgia, Kentucky, Mississippi, and Tennessee. Joe also handled policies with exposures throughout the United States and some foreign liability and workers’ compensation exposure.

Joe began their insurance career at Liberty Mutual Insurance as a Commercial Program Underwriter. During their tenure, they focused on underwriting, pricing, and proposing commercial insurance products, with a particular emphasis on managing a workers’ compensation program portfolio that catered to high hazard recycling companies.

Overall, Joe Jones has gained extensive experience in fleet underwriting, transportation underwriting, program underwriting, and commercial lines underwriting throughout their career.

Joe Jones attended the University of Central Florida from 1999 to 2003, where they obtained a Bachelor of Science (BS) degree in Business Administration. Their specific field of study was Accounting and Finance.
