Josh Bane has over two decades of work experience in the film and television industry. Josh started their career in 2001 as a Director of Photography, Lighting Camera Operator, and FAA licensed Drone Operator at Sticks And Stones Productions, where they worked on original programming for Warner Bros. Discovery Inc. Networks. In 2006, they joined Citizen Pictures as a freelance Director of Photography. Josh also worked as a freelance Director of Photography at High Noon Entertainment from 2001 to 2011. In 2011, they became a freelance Camera Operator at National Geographic Channel. From 2014 to 2018, they worked as a freelance Director of Photography at Tremendous! Entertainment, where they filmed the culinary exploration show "Bizarre Foods: Delicious Destinations," traveling all over the world and handling blocking, directing, and lighting kitchen demos and customer interviews. Josh also worked as a freelance Camera Operator at Big Table Media from 2013 to 2014 and as a freelance Director of Photography at Prometheus Entertainment from 2012 to 2013. Josh started their freelance career as a Director of Photography at Rocky Mountain PBS in 1998, where they worked until 2006.

From 1995 to 1998, Josh Bane attended Southern Illinois University, Carbondale, where they pursued a degree in Mass Communications and Media Arts, with a focus on Television Production.
