Game Development Engineer at High Voltage Software

William Dustin Keplinger has a diverse work experience that includes roles in game development and teaching. William Dustin started their career in 2013 as an Airborne Radio Operator and Maintainer in the US Army, where they assisted Special Forces and maintained communication in war zones. In 2019, they joined the DigiPen Student Team: Something Edgy, where they worked as a Gameplay Engineer, Audio Programmer, Tools Programmer, and Producer. William Dustin developed core engine architecture, custom tools, and collaborated with designers and artists. From 2020 to 2022, they served as a Teaching Assistant at DigiPen Institute of Technology, guiding and mentoring students in game projects. In 2020, they also worked as a Gameplay Engineer for DigiPen Student Team: High Tyr Games, where they developed core gameplay systems and a player facing gameplay system. In 2021, they worked as a Gameplay Engineer for DigiPen Student Team: Adjative Noun Games, developing core mechanics and a hexagonal movement system. Currently, they are employed as a Game Development Engineer at High Voltage Software, starting in November 2022.

William Dustin Keplinger attended Austin Peay State University in 2017, where they obtained a Bachelor's degree in Computer Science. William Dustin then pursued further education at DigiPen Institute of Technology from 2018 to 2022, where they earned a Bachelor of Science degree in Computer Science and Game Design.
