Curtis Allen has a diverse work experience spanning different industries and roles. Curtis started their career as a Contract Administrator at the Defense Contract Management Agency (DCMA) from August 2004 to December 2005. Curtis then joined NAVWAR in 2006 as a Contracting Officer, where they were responsible for executing complex and high visibility actions. Curtis worked at Booz Allen Hamilton as an Associate from October 2011 to August 2012. From 2012 to 2017, they held multiple positions at NAVWAR, including Assistant Program Manager - Contracts for Command and Control Systems (PMW 150), and Assistant Program Manager - Contracts for International C4I Integration (PMW 740). In these roles, they fostered collaboration, provided contract development and program management direction, and led contract/acquisition planning for large-scale projects. In 2010, Curtis was a Member of the Student-Assisted Venture Capital Investment Fund at Rady Venture Fund. Since 2015, they have been the Owner of Uptown Bicycles, where they successfully scaled operations to achieve $4.8 million in annual sales. In May 2023, Curtis joined Highbury Defense Group as a Sr. Program Manager.

Curtis Allen's education history includes an MBA degree from the University of California, San Diego - Rady School of Management, which was obtained from 2008 to 2010. Prior to that, they attended the University of Arizona from 1999 to 2004, where they completed a BS and BA degree in Business Administration (Marketing Major), German Studies, and Political Science. In 2002, they also participated in a study abroad program at IES Abroad, focusing on the Business and Politics of the European Union at Humboldt Universität in Berlin.
