Ed Clark

Ed Clark has a diverse work experience spanning various roles in the engineering and manufacturing fields. Ed is currently serving as the Director of R&D Engineering at HighCom Armor, where they lead the research and development of composite and ballistic protection products, while also providing technical support for global business development. Prior to this, Ed worked at XTEK Limited as the Head of Special Projects, Operations Manager, and Project Manager for the Special Projects unit, managing teams and overseeing the delivery of advanced composite and armor projects. Ed also has experience as a Senior Production Engineer at Armor Australia Pty Ltd, managing production schedules and providing technical support for Soft Armor and Shield products. Ed has held positions such as Fabrication Manager at CST Composites and Carbon Fiber Production Coordinator at LSM Advanced Composites, where they were responsible for managing fabrication departments, assisting with technical advice, and providing training to team members. Other roles in their career include R&D Composite Processing Engineer at Red Maple - The Tooling Business of Gurit and Composite Processing Engineer at Gurit (UK) Ltd, where they worked on research, development, and production of composite materials and manufacturing processes. Ed began their career as a Research Technician at IPTME, Loughborough University, and as a Development Officer at Dytech Corporation Ltd, where they gained hands-on experience in research, production, testing, and analysis of metal matrix composites.

Ed Clark attended Loughborough University from 2000 to 2005, where they earned a BEng (Hons) degree in Materials Engineering. During the same period, they also obtained a Diploma in Materials Engineering and Industrial Studies from the Institute of Materials.
