Katina Burley is the Senior Manager of Volunteers and Curriculum at Higher Achievement. Katina has dedicated their career to working with underserved youth, most recently with We Imagine, Inc. as their Lead Teacher Coordinator. In this role, they were responsible for coordinating the efforts of a team of teachers in an after-school program that served low-income students. Prior to that, they worked as an AmeriCorps VISTA for Maryland-DC Campus Compact, where they were responsible for community outreach and engagement, 21st century school building, public speaking, organizing meetings, writing reports, and event planning. Katina has also worked as a student teacher and classroom aide. Throughout their career, Katina has been committed to helping low-income students succeed in school and achieve their college and career goals.
