Dean Calsbeek

Dean Calsbeek currently serves as a Peer Reviewer for the Higher Learning Commission since May 2022. Concurrently, Dean Calsbeek has held the position of Dean of Natural and Applied Sciences and Professor of Kinesiology at Northwestern College since 2004. In June 2019, participation in the Senior Leadership Academy, a program organized by the Council of Independent Colleges and the American Academic Leadership Institute, began, aimed at preparing mid-level administrators for senior leadership roles in higher education. Prior experience includes a post-doctoral fellowship at the University of Colorado Health Sciences Center from 2002 to 2004. Dean Calsbeek earned a Ph.D. in Physiology from Colorado State University in 2002 and a B.A. in Biology with a focus on Health Professions from Northwestern College in 1997.
