Gary Fung

Head of Technology, Venture Studio at Highline Beta

Gary Fung is the Head of Technology at Highline Beta's Venture Studio. Gary has over ten years of experience in the technology industry, including stints as a Co-Founder and Chief Product Officer.

Gary's first foray into the tech world was with Enflick, Inc., where they helped create Ping!, one of Canada's most popular messaging apps. Gary was responsible for market research, product design, and overseeing the development teams for the iPhone, Android, and BlackBerry versions of the app.

After a few years at Enflick, Gary co-founded Halogen Mobile, a startup mobile agency that helps forward-looking brands build meaningful experiences with their audiences through the mobile platform. At Halogen, Gary continued to hone their skills in product development and management.

Most recently, Gary has been heading up technology at Highline Beta's Venture Studio. In this role, they oversee all aspects of technology for the venture studio, from strategy and product development to server infrastructure and database design.

Gary Fung graduated from the University of Waterloo with an Honors Bachelor of Mathematics in Computer Science and Co-op Program. Gary also attended KGV during their educational career.
