Ay Saechao has extensive experience in educational leadership and student support, currently serving as Dean of Student Support and Funding Services at Highline College since January 2011, after holding various roles including Associate Dean for Student Development, Retention and Conduct, Director of TRiO Student Support and Retention Services, and TRiO Program Manager/Advisor. In addition, Ay has acted as President of the Southeast Asian American Education Coalition since January 2012 and previously worked at the College Success Foundation as a College Preparatory Advisor from May 2007 to December 2010. Other roles include Program Coordinator for the Youth Leaders Project at Beaverton School District and Case Manager and Program Coordinator at the Immigrant and Refugee Community Organization. Ay's early career included a VISTA role with AmeriCorps from 2001 to 2002. Educational qualifications include a Master’s degree in Multicultural Education from the University of Washington and a Bachelor’s degree in Cultural & Linguistic Anthropology from Oregon State University.
