Julia Petrich has a diverse work experience. Julia started their career as a Remote Intern at Harvey Klinger, Inc. in 2013. Julia then worked as a Design Intern at Carnegie Mellon University Press from 2013 to 2014. From 2014 to 2015, they worked at Sourcebooks as a Page and Digital Production Specialist, where they were involved in various design and production tasks. Julia also served as an Assistant to the Publisher during this time. In 2014, they worked as a Seasonal Bookseller at Barnes & Noble. Julia then joined Carnegie Mellon University in 2012 and held the role of Spanish Writing Assistant until 2014. In 2016, they worked as a Graduate Teaching Assistant at Carnegie Mellon University. From 2017 to 2019, they worked in various design and service roles at Penn Medicine, University of Pennsylvania Health System, Carnegie Mellon University, and Carnegie Library of Pittsburgh. Since 2018, they have been working at Highmark Health, where they have held roles such as User Experience Designer, Senior User Experience Designer, Service Designer, and Lead Designer (UX & Service Design). Julia also served as a Design Instructor at Carnegie Mellon University from 2017 to 2019.

Julia Petrich has a strong educational background in design and writing. Julia completed their Master of Design degree in Design for Interactions at Carnegie Mellon University from 2016 to 2020. Prior to that, they obtained a Master of Arts (MA) degree in Design from the same university in 2015. In 2014, Julia enrolled in the Columbia Publishing Course, although no degree or field of study is specified. Julia also holds a Bachelor of Arts (B.A.) degree in Creative Writing and Professional Writing, which they earned from Carnegie Mellon University between 2010 and 2014.
