M. Luke Montoya began their career in 1999 as a Debt Collector for Greentree Financial/Conseco. In 2003, they joined Wells Fargo, where they held roles as a Quality Assurance Analyst, Financial Crimes Specialist, Fraud Specialist, and Debt Collector. In 2016, they became a QA Analyst at Ipro Tech, and in 2018, they became a Student of full stack web development at Galvanize Inc. In 2020, they joined PayPal as a Merchant Risk Consultant, and in 2021, they joined Aston Carter as a Quality Analyst. Currently, they are a Compliance Analyst at Highnote and an AML Analyst at PwC.

M. Luke Montoya obtained a Certified Anti-money Laundering Specialist (CAMS) from the Association of Certified Anti-Money Laundering Specialists (ACAMS) in 2022. In 2018, they attended Galvanize Inc for Web Development. In November of 2020, they obtained a Social Success at Work certification from LinkedIn.
