Vijay Permeswaran

Vijay Permeswaran, PhD, is an accomplished Principal Research Engineer currently at Highridge Medical since April 2024, with prior experience at ZimVie and Zimmer Biomet. With a strong background in biomedical engineering, Vijay has led research initiatives focused on orthopedic biomechanics, including the development of finite element models and conducting physical experiments in collaboration with multidisciplinary teams. Educationally, Vijay holds a PhD and a Master's degree in Biomedical Engineering from the University of Iowa, where extensive research was conducted as a Graduate Research Assistant and teaching responsibilities were fulfilled as a Teaching Assistant. Vijay has published peer-reviewed articles, presented at multiple conferences, and managed teams in academic and industry settings.
