Sandy Arbuthnott

Sandy Arbuthnott has a diverse work experience spanning various industries. Sandy is currently the Director of Ventures at HiiROC since January 2023. Prior to this, they worked at Meggitt from 2017 to 2022, where they held the positions of Group Director of Sustainability and Programme Director for Meggitt Ansty Park. Before joining Meggitt, Sandy was a Case Team Leader at Bain & Company from 2013 to 2017. Sandy began their career in the Royal Navy, where they served as a Fast Jet Pilot from 2004 to 2011 and also worked as a Qualified Flying Instructor from 2007 to 2009.

Sandy Arbuthnott has a solid education history, with a focus on business and engineering. In 1999, they began their collegiate journey at the University of Oxford, where they pursued a Bachelor's degree in Engineering Science. Sandy dedicated four years to their studies and successfully completed their MEng in 2003.

After gaining practical experience in the field of engineering, Sandy decided to further enhance their skill set by pursuing a Master of Business Administration (MBA) degree. Sandy attended the prestigious London Business School from 2011 to 2013, where they immersed herself in the world of business and acquired valuable knowledge in various business disciplines.

Committed to continuous learning and staying up-to-date with current trends, Sandy obtained a certification in "Business and Climate Change: Towards Net Zero Emissions" from the Cambridge Institute for Sustainability Leadership (CISL) in November 2021.
