Beth is a partner in the shipping team.

Beth specialises in commercial dispute resolution with particular expertise in the shipping, shipbuilding/offshore, commodities and marine insurance sectors. She regularly advises first class shipowners, shipbuilders and P&I clubs. She also advises blue chip Asian and multinational companies and trading houses in relation to their commercial agreements and disputes.

Beth represents clients from numerous jurisdictions, including major South Korean shipowners and shipbuilders whom she has successfully represented for over 15 years.

Beth was one of the lawyers at the forefront of the roll out of the IMO 2020 Regulations (on the sulphur content of fuels) and brings considerable expertise to advising on the consequences of the new wave of environmental regulations concerning greenhouse gas emissions and the implications of those regulations for her clients.

Beth also has extensive experience of advising in relation to South Korean rehabilitation proceedings and the Cross Border Insolvency Regulations.

Beth is listed by The Legal 500 2019 to 2021 as a leading individual/ ‘Next Generation Partner’, who is ‘good on the interplay between shipping and insolvency’, and as a ‘notable practitioner in shipping in South Korea’ by Chambers & Partners.

Beth handles high value, multi-party and multi-jurisdictional litigation and has extensive experience of international arbitrations in various forums, including ICC, LCIA and LMAA and litigation in the Commercial and Mercantile Courts, Courts of Appeal and the Supreme Court in London.
